Hi and welcome!

Background of gentle waves on a sandy beach

My name is Rich Hayden.

I am a fully qualified, BACP registered Integrative Counsellor and Creative Therapist with 10 years experience. I am also a Mental Health Educator & Counselling Tutor.

I offer an effective, individually tailored, one-to-one Counselling and Mental Health Support service, suitable for Adults and Young People (age 16+).

I’m available for both in-person counselling in Bristol and online/telephone Counselling. I’m also available for walk & talk counselling for those who enjoy being out in nature.

My aim is to provide a service that is effective, focused on you and encourages self-understanding, growth and healing.

I am very open-minded and easy to talk to; people describe me as accepting, non-judgemental, compassionate and curious. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and walks of life.

I work with either Talking Therapy alone (Traditional Counselling) or a blend of Talking and Creative Therapy - whatever suits your needs best.

I’m Neurodiversity aware (click here for more info on Neurodiversity Counselling), Kink & Fetish aware and LGBTQI+ friendly.

Working alongside you and at your pace, I can support you in finding clarity where there is fog and in ways to both approach and deal with with your issues or difficulties.

Be Who You Are And Say What You Feel, Because Those Who Mind Don’t Matter And Those Who Matter Don’t Mind.

The Best Use Of Imagination Is Creativity.
The Worst Use Of Imagination Is Anxiety.

Why Creative Therapy?

Because spoken words aren’t always enough for what we need to say.

It doesn’t even mean you have to “do any art” either! There are many ways to explore creatively that don’t involve drawing, painting, etc.

All it takes is a little imagination, the will to experiment and a sprinkle of curiosity!

For me, it means working “in the moment” - with what you choose to bring to each session and the inspiration we find there together.
